Each pillow cover is upcycled from antique Indian kantha quilts, which contain many layers of fabric and are hand stitched. In some cases, the original quilt has been so well loved that the top layer of fabric has worn through, and you can see the next layer below. This creates the most amazing and unique texture, and the feel of the pillow cover is incredibly soft.
Beth spent an entire day with the proprietors of this store and selected the best of the best. The men at the shop spent hours flipping through four-foot-high stacks of antique quilts. The kanthas chosen here were not salvageable as whole quilts, so they were given new life in the form of pillow covers!
Every pillow cover has been laundered and is ready for its place of honor at the foot of your bed, on the back of your sofa, or on your wall as a one-of-a-kind work of art.
