City Guide Vol.1: The New York Edition

Handker ❤️s Adventure: The New York Edition

Everything to do, from where to stay, shop and eat in NYC!

Where to stay:

The Ludlow, opens in a new tab: the perfect combo of homey/cozy and a little fancy. The lounge bar downstairs has a great fireplace and I hung out for a morning just drawing and dreaming.

Shopping:

All the little stores on Mulberry, Mott, and Elizabeth Streets in SoHo.
My favorites: Esqueleto, opens in a new tab (beautiful eclectic fine jewelry) and nails from Vanity Projects Love Adorned (more jewelry and a little bit of this and that)

, opens in a new tab

Goods for the Study, opens in a new tab (for the stationery obsessed)

Goods for the Study NYC

Le Labo, opens in a new tab: you will never smell anything as good as Le Labo

Eating:

Tacombi, opens in a new tab is a casual favorite. The esquites!
Russ & Daughters, opens in a new tab is right around the corner. I get the pretzel bagel with horseradish dill cream cheese.

La Mercerie, opens in a new tab was new to me this trip. It’s French and design-centered and just exquisite! Kiki’s is cozy and yummy.

 From the show:

One of the reasons I love Shoppe Object is the light and bright feeling in the show space. Here’s Annie, our orders manager, perfectly representing the Hemlock vibe.

The whole show is filled with high-design goods which is just so inspirational to see.

These are companies that design things for the love of a color palette, a line, or a laugh: OMY, Ilex Studio, opens in a new tab , and Caminito, opens in a new tab.
